KTC is using various approaches from every angle: reducing manufacturing energy consumption, improving maintainability, eliminating harmful substances and recycling.

In order to achieve these, at the design stage we carry out various simulations of all situations involved in the manufacturing process and manufacturing technology through to disposal, while working to blend “maintaining and improving high quality” and “reducing environmental impact” and take it to a higher level.

All aspects of the product lifecycle from product development through to disposal are considered from an environmental perspective.

By designing products that are easily dismantled and reassembled, we can raise product maintainability.
Furthermore, by including replacement parts in our line up, we are working to manufacture products that can be used for longer periods.

Using technology, KTC has made it possible to create forms in the forging process that are closer to the form of the finished product (near net shape).

As a result, material loss, post-forge machining and processing (burr removal, cutting, polishing, etc.) are reduced, achieving a reduction in energy consumption and waste.

It has been confirmed that some of the chemical substances that have been conventionally used as essential materials for industrial development have a harmful effect on the ecosystem and help to destroy the environment.

We strive to have these environmentally harmful substances completely removed from or reduced in our products and packaging materials.

Moreover, discarded materials to be recycled from our resin forming division are recycled as trays for tools made of resin type material.

KTC takes environment into account from the stage of product designing and manufacturing technology development for future recycling.

For example, we strive to reduce waste material by prioritizing the use of recyclable materials and indicating the materials used in each part of our products to make recycling easier.

As a manufacturer, KTC addresses energy/resource saving and waste reduction as an important mission of our business from the environmental point of view.

Taking environment into consideration, we have been involved in various activities for energy/resource saving in the construction of the Manufacturing Technology Museum.

This rooftop garden has the advantage of reducing the heat island effect, reducing CO2 emissions, preventing increase in roof surface temperature in summer, and improving the building's durability by shielding it from acid rain and UV rays.
We also wish to provide visitors with an opportunity to be aware of the environment.
